I manage a team of designers and a traffic coordinator within the Marketing Department. Our team completed an in-house rebrand of the Museum in 2022. As Director of Graphic Design I set the design direction for the brand and communicate across departments to connect teams and create efficiencies in our workflow.

I designed print and digital advertising, social media graphics, education materials, event signage, and exhibition marketing materials. Created new and implemented existing design systems.

​As a designer on the Enterprise Creative Services team, I split my time between large branding initiatives and daily design requests. Working closely with the Marcom Operations team, I optimize department processes and train internal employees on new processes. Every day at IQVIA is different, from drawing new icons in adobe illustrator, to advising a team in South Africa on a white paper design, to recording PowerPoint training videos. Designing for a company with 60,000+ employees all over the world is an exciting challenge, and a rewarding experience to help so many people each day. I managed multiple aspects of the 2019 IQVIA rebrand, including the PowerPoint template, trade show booth designs, social media graphics, and video graphics guidelines.

​SunTech Medical was my first experience with the highly regulated medical device industry. I improved efficiencies in the regulatory process by creating new templates in software that was available to all employees. In 2015, the marketing team was charged with rebranding the company in four months, ahead of our largest trade show of the year. I contributed to the rebrand by developing brand guidelines, and a design system for all printed materials, packaging, emails, and trade show booths, as well as implementing the new system across all new materials.

I managed a marketing team of four supporting the Office of Information Technology of a Federal Agency. Together, my team successfully changed the client reputation in a positive direction through careful communications plans, innovative web UI/UX, and creative marketing campaigns​. I managed the team remotely for the final year of the contract.

State Department Federal Credit Union | Alexandria, VA

The State Department Federal Credit Union is a small bank with five branches, and a lean marketing department with one designer and one writer. Together, we developed print and email advertising campaigns, and redesigned the website. I art directed an outside vendor in the creation of the banks first mobile app, and designed and managed animated ads displayed in the bank branch locations.

Smithsonian | Washington, DC

Graphic Design Consultant

​2011

 

After a move across the country from Seattle, WA to Washington, DC, I had the amazing opportunity to consult with the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. I learned about native populations in Alaska, Canada, and Mongolia while designing print, web, and event materials for an international conference and designing the Whales Inupiaq Sea Ice Dictionary, published by the Smithsonian Press.
